Tredje utfordring: Umulig å løse?

Aasne Tjøstovsdtr. har en bror som heter Augund Tjøstovsen Paradis (f.31.08.1823) som reiste til Amerika i 1872. I utflyttermeldingen står det (slik jeg tolker det) at han først reiste til England i 1864 og så til Amerika i 1872. Jeg har ikke funnet noe om at han kommet tilbake til Vinje i mellom 1862 og 1872, ei heller etter denne tid. Hvor blei det av han?

Det er lett å tenke at navnet hans blir endret når han kommer til Usa. Hvis han beholder "Paradis" så er det kanskje litt håp om å kunne finne spor. Jeg er ikke så flink på søk i Usa, så jeg vil gjerne ha hjelp.   ....Tenk å reise fra et så fint sted som Paradis....

Alfred Knutson Rites Scheduled POLSON Funeral services for Alfred H. Knutson, 72, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Mr. Knutson died Friday. He was born June 27, 1888, at Blackbrook, Wis. He married Mary Brown of Poison, April 26, 1923. He had lived in Poison for 32 years and worked primarily as a sawmill laborer. His wife died Nov. 23, 1962. Surviving are four sons, Albert J., Lilburn, Ronald and Clayton, all of Poison; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry Welker, Poison; Mrs. James Combs, Kelso, Wash.; three brothers, Martin and Ole, Clear Lakes, Wis.; Oscar, Minneapolis; two sis ters, Mrs. Annie Kittleson, Clear Lakes; Mrs. Clara Barks, South Range, Wis.; 15 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
