Dear Friends,

 

I am back with another query for lieutenant Arneberg who deserted the Norwegian army in Trondheim.

 

I know that he deserted the Norwegian army in Trondheim in May 1880 to go to Argentina.

 

I have tried to find information on where he went to school both for Gymnasium and the military school.

 

Can anybody help me with this? He was a brigader.

He was married in Trondheim in 1888. Did he return from Argentina, or did he flee the country later than 1880?

Thank you very much for your kind reply.

When he left Norway to go to Argentina in 1880 he never returned to Norway.

I am wondering if I could contact the Norwegian Army to find out if they have a register of their soldiers. 

Would you have any idea where to contact? I feel like I am shooting in the dark.
