Birth of Lars Johannessen?

Lars Johannessen was 7 years in the 1801 census and 21 in the 1815 census. That makes his birthdate 1794. However, his marriage record puts his birthday in 1798.

I have found the above item in the Finnås Ministerial book for 1794 which may be his birth record???

On the left side, the 7th or 8th paragraph down, for Dom. 8 Trinity, there is a birth recorded for August 10th. Although my reading is not the greatest, it seems to me that Johanes Kiernageland is the father and the name of the baby is Lars. I know the family resided on Tjernagel and assume Kiernageland means the same thing.

Not Johanes Kiernageland, but Johannes Kiernagelens Søn Nom. Lars

The line above -n- in Johanes marks a double n.

Kiernagel is an alternative spelling of Tjernagel, and the ending -en is a definite article ‘the Kiernagel’. The final -s is the genitive form.

This would correctly put his birthday to 1794
