Andreas was born March 15 and baptised April 29 1860. His parents were 'Ungkar' (unmarried man) Hans Simonsson Staurseth and 'Pige' (unmarried woman) Marit Olsdtr. Rødstøl. Witnesses were from the farms Rødstøl and Brude in Upper Romsdalen.
