I am searching for Paul Larson Hagen, born in Norway June 1849, married Ingri/Ingrid born in Norway September 1849. According to records I have found, the emigration date to America for Paul is 1874. Emigration for Ingri is 1877. These records also state that they were married in America in 1877, so it would be my guess that they knew each other in Norway. They settled in Polk County, Minnesota and had the following children: Lorens born October 1881, Randine (Dina) born September 1883, Nils (Nels) born August 1885, John born August 1887, Ida P. born June 1890. Also living with them in the 1885 and 1895 US Census is Marie Paulson, who is listed as "niece of householder." She is 2 years older than Lorens. When Randine married Andrew T. Hagen around 1900 (they had twin sons, Adolph Nicolai and Theodor Melvin born 1901), witnesses were Paul L. Hagen (Randine's father) and Ole T. Hagen. This Ole Hagen is NOT the one from Solihagen in Gran, Norway. What is interesting on the marriage document is it states Jaren, Gran, Norway. Yet we can find no Paul L. or Ingri/Ingrid in Jaren, Gran between 1850 and 1877. I hope someone can help. Andrew and Randine are my niece's great-grandparents and I am taking her to Norway in June 2018. I would like to know where this part of her family came from. Or better yet, find relatives still living in Norway.
