Hmm. 1910 US Census has Olaf, Beret (Head of household) Hans and Karelius at the house at 2017 22nd Street.

I can see from the 1910 US Census that they used Tvedt as a family name and your grandfather is Olaf Lerfald:

In 1885 city census I have found Berit Tvedt, born 1839, living in Trondheim as "arbeidskone" - so she was working in Trondheim the year before she emigrated to the US:

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01053300000300

She lived in the household of the Bang family in Østre gate 20.

You might have this information already, but here is Berit's emigration record from Trondheim in 1886:

BTW: Østre gate was called by this name from 1681 till 1886, when it changed name to Bispegata. Bispegata is the name still in use, cf.:

https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bispegata_(Trondheim) (only in Norwegian).

Fantastic - I didn't have the 1839 living arrangements.

I seem to run across the name "Bang" quite often- is it very common in Norway? And thank you for the information on Bispegata; someday, when I get the chance to visit Norway, I'm going to take an epic tour of the places the family has lived- I'm going to need a month to do so, I think! From Hegra to Bispegata, to Bergen to Risor...and innumerable points between.
