Hi I live in Australia,

 

I am researching my grandfather's ancestry and I am hoping that someone may be able to help me as I am trying to establish when he left Norway.

 

I have established the following:

 

• My grandfather was baptised Olaf Edissen Mikkelborg.
• My grandfather was born on 9 September 1878 at Trondenes
• The 1900 census shows my grandfather was living with his family in Norway and his occupation was listed as fisherman: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01037548002171
• The 1910 census does not show my grandfather living with his family at Trondenes and I have confirmed via other sources that he was living in Australia in 1908.

 

If someone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.
