Are there any new information or sources On Audun I Borg 1176-1225, or perhaps any DNA direction?

    I have reviewed the old arkivvet conversations,  and understand that Håkons saga is the only source which indicates that Audun is a "Frende" of Inga Av Varteig.,  which is translated as a cousin or close relative.     I have found over 10 different trees ( geni, my heritage, ancestry, family tree, wiki )  of Auduns Ancestors,  and am trying to get the most accurate that I can, as I look to try and write up what I have found, starting from Rasmus on Helset on lovatnet, Bødal, Nesdal, Einar Hugleiksson,  Hugleik Jonsson,  to Audun,  and thanks for the help from the forum to get this far!       

 

The first trees  that I disagree with is the use of Tore Bjornsen Tinghatt as Auduns  father (which would make Inga Audun's  cousin or cousin once removed).    Tore Bjornsen Tinghatt however  is born after Audun  in 1190,  and Sigrid Haftoresdatter in 1210 and I have found most dates surprisingly accurate if one has a good tree and goes generation to generation with childbearing years in mind.  .       I have discarded that option and use a Tore av Borg 1150 found in Wiki Tree,  who could also be a Tore Vigleiksson based upon the son Vigleik Audunssons naming practice.  

 

       A  Second set of trees carry NN or Margrete Olavsdatter as a a wife of Audun,  in addition to Kristine Bjørnsdatter as a wife,   where Margrete is a sister of Borghild olavsdatter , ( Tore Bjørnsens mother )  and Inga av Varteig as  Olavsdatters.   This is the most common,  and the one that I now carry,  but one that I have suspicions about.   Some Carry Borghild as a wife also, which I disagree with. 

 

    The best possibility to me is,   If Auduns mother were a sister of either Olav Håkonsson Smørkul or his wife  Margrete Bjørnsdatter,  then Inga would be a cousin.    However,  i have seen no one even approach this as a  option, or know if information exists. 

   

         Just looking for comments and direction on an old subject,  to see if there have been any strides made lately.   Stopping with Audun is ok with me also.
